Hi There!
For those who don’t know me, allow me to re-introduce myself [read in your best Hov voice] — My name is Keyaira, your new Director of Entrepreneurship at The Garage, located right here in the vibrant heart of San Francisco. While we may not have crossed paths before, you might recall that The Garage SF was on the lookout for someone to take on this exciting role. Well… it's me! 👋🏽
I firmly believe in the power of themes and grounding ourselves in the "why" of what we do. And right now, it feels thematically synergetic to be back in the city that raised me, at an institution that nurtured my innovation acuity.
🤔 So, who is Keyaira? I'm a human-centric builder who is on a mission to extend Northwestern's enterprising community nationally and internationally. My journey has taken me from pioneering global initiatives in tech, which transformed market opportunities into millions in incremental revenue, to founding Spice & Sage—a psychedelic culture marketing consultancy—through the esteemed Kellogg Zell Fellows Program. I've had the privilege of working with incredible minds and being shaped by the tech innovation economy, and now, I'm honored to be giving back to the entrepreneurial community that has given so much to me!
🚀 My Vision? We’ll I’m so glad you asked! I look forward to:
Cultivating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem for Alumni Founders, VCs, and Tech Professionals that promotes meaningful connections and collaborative problem-solving.
Overseeing proof-of-concept work and business cultivation alongside industry experts to nurture an environment where innovation flourishes and empowerment thrives.
Curating strategic marketing, branding, and development initiatives to amplify Northwestern University's entrepreneurial culture and impact across Silicon Valley and beyond.
But enough about me… I'm here to serve you! As we embark on this adventure, it’s imperative I stress how much your voice matters. Please take a moment to complete this quick 5-10-minute survey and share your thoughts, ideas, and aspirations for The Garage SF community. Your participation directly influences our ability to tailor our support to effectively meet your needs and actively shape how we go about empowering our dynamic entrepreneurial community.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to sign up to be featured as an alumni founder in our newsletter, showcasing your entrepreneurial journey and achievements, and opt-in to have your product/service amplified in one of our upcoming events, giving your venture valuable exposure.
🗓️How can I get involved? We're kicking things off with the ‘Food, Fellowship, & Forward Thinking Dinner’ on November 15th from 5:30 - 8:00p PST at The Garage SF. This interactive evening will bring together Northwestern alumni who share your passion for the Northwestern, SF Bay Area, and Entrepreneurship intersection.
